Have you ever heard of ‘the empathetic body’? Several people tell me how they notice their own bodies twitching and jumping when they watch our micro movement dances. I know this happens in other cases, too. It’s your empathetic body response that makes you stamp and cheer at a STREB show, for instance. And leap out of your chair during a horror movie, you know?

This spring, Dr. Paul Grobstein of Bryn Mawr College is going to assist our research into mirror neurons, the neurobiological fact behind the phenomenon, and how they link us humans through action and observation, learning and language. This month, at the informal Second Thursdays series, come out and feel for yourself how micro movement choreography can jump from the stage into your own body.
