Each evening presents the same fresh material developed in WPM’s first weeks as a LIVE ARTS FESTIVAL resident artist, and is followed by a different conversation led by thinkers and experimental artists from across disciplines.
Inspired by choreographers devynn emory/ beast productions, Philipp Gehmacher, and Busby Berkeley, WPM’s new dances offer a lot of surprises for the most adventurous lovers of tiny and collaborative artists looking for fresh blood.
Performed by Brandon Beston, Sarah Gladwin Camp, Greg Holt, Shannon Murphy, Sara Nye, Naomi Pressman. Choreographed by Kathryn TeBordo.
+ 8pm Friday Nov 13 /// split bill with Jen McGinn
Philadelphia-based art choreographer Jen McGinn tackles “Les Sylphides” in its centennial year, against a backdrop of iconic 1950’s pop-rock to help you consider your own lust for timelessness and uniformity.

+ Saturday Nov 14 /// listening party with Dustin Hurt
Composer and bowerbird director Dustin Hurt throws a new music listening party because we want to find music that is hard to hear. Philly composers and dance makers: come out and let’s all start seeing and hearing and talking.

+ 8pm Sunday Nov 15 /// discussion with Dr. Paul Grobstein
Bryn Mawr professor Paul Grobstein is equal parts neurobiologist and philosopher, and on Sunday he starts our conversation with our favorite line since Yvonne Ranier, “dance is the purest form of knowledge.”
